Some idea what this eclipse will create is by looking at what happened at a previous eclipse in a near degree. An eclipse on 11 July 1991 took place at 12:06 PM LA time at 18 degrees Cancer and 59 minutes.

3. Those born on ANY 9^th or 10th January will have their Sun opposite the eclipse points. An exact chart is necessary to see the position of the Sun accurately.

THEREFORE, anyone who was born on or between the above dates and who had a powerful event occur in their lives at the time of the 1991 eclipse might reasonably expect to have powerful events occur at the July 2010 eclipse.

A few anecdotes and notes;

1. The path and length of totality of these two eclipses is somewhat different with the 2010 eclipse ending in Patagonia – the south of Chile.

2. Although I have not yet found any direct astrological correspondence, many believe hurricane Iniki which hit Kauai on 11 September 1992 at about 9:06 AM  is energetically related to the total eclipse of 11 July 1991 as Kauai was in the path totality.

3. I spent the summer of 1991 living in my tent in Lone Pine, CA as I had no where else to live. At the moment of partial totality experienced in that area at noon on 11 July 1991 I was hiking on the Mt. Whitney trail about 1/3 of the way to the summit. I stopped on the trail and looked with only one eye at the full eclipse. It appears that I later lost most of the sight in that eye as it was occluded by a large and strange cataract. The normally simple cataract operation to repair it was a failure leading to a 4 hour emergency surgery which included a detached retina.

Additionally, I have never had any kind of fixed place to live since the time of the eclipse. The eclipse point was only 6 minutes away from the planet Jupiter in my horoscope posited in my first house as a rising planet. Rising planets, those closest to the ascendant in the first house, are indicators of karmic destinies for this lifetime. As my Jupiter is in the sign Cancer it can be interpreted to mean karmic lessons of excess associated with liquids, foods, and nurturance in general.

Jupiter in my horoscope has a Lilly strength of 22 which is high indicating VERY good luck, or getting bailed out of difficult or possibly deadly situations at the last minute. Jupiter is also at or close to the degree of its exaltation.

After the summer in my tent I ended up living with a zaftig woman almost a full half Saturn cycle – 14 years – older than I in Newport Beach, she had 3 sons and unconsciously interpreted me to be one of them energetically, and I made the front page of the LA Times food section for the excellence of my baking at the coffee shop this woman owned. All these things are expressions of Jupiter and Cancer.

1. I had a client/friend with Mars situated at 0 Scorpio 18 who at the 1976 eclipse ‘lost’ her first husband (of 5 so far, I think) and at the 1995 eclipse ‘lost’ an important relationship. Mars in this person’s horoscope has a Lilly strength of 29 and can be interpreted to be her most important planet. For certain, the people around her feel that way.

2. I had a client/friend who in the fall of 1995 was experiencing a great deal of adgeda (free-floating dis-easyness). I asked her when she had been born and she said October 22^nd  [giving a 0 degree Scorpio Sun] without saying the year, a clear indication of Scorpio energy. As she had been seemingly successfully in a relationship for a while I simply asked her what happened to her on her birthday in 1976, remembering there had been an eclipse there. She gasped and related that in November of 1976 she had been abducted from a Laundromat in San Francisco and raped repeatedly. I gently suggested she was re-experiencing the inner trauma of the previous eclipse. This person was unable to continue and maintain her previously successful current relationship and to my knowledge, although very attractive and reasonably young, has not been able to be with anyone heterosexually since.

Clearly, I was in this short conversation, considered beyond brilliant. It were as though a miracle had happened. However, I later related to the friend the story of a great Rebbe, a tzadik or Jewish holy man, who was brilliantly answering spiritual questions at a large gathering. One woman said to him, “Rebbe, how is it you are able to so brilliantly give us answers to our difficult questions?” the Rebbe replied, “It is not the brilliance of my answers but the brilliance is in only selecting people who have questions I happen to know the answers to!”

Note again that, like Iniki, like my Cancerian zaftig relationship, like my cataract, like the abduction - the dramatic event occurred AFTER, not AT, the eclipse, sometime months or years later.
