Rabbit Year

Metal Rabbit Year began at the New Moon 3 February 2011 at 6:31 PM and will continue until 22 January 2012. This is a year in which, to use a phrase from Plato, those born in Rabbit Year will “be attacked by fortune.” Previous Rabbit Years were 1999, 1987, 1975, 1963, 1951, 1939…and each 12 years going back. In some countries, notably Vietnam, Rabbit Year is celebrated as the Year of the Cat. The Year of the Rat is Mouse Year in Vietnam.

29 January 1903 – 15 February 1904: Water Rabbit
14 February 1915 – 2 February 1916: Wood Rabbit
2 February 1927 – 22 January 1928: Fire Rabbit
19 February 1939 – 7 February 1940: Earth Rabbit
6 February 1951 – 26 January 1952: Metal Rabbit

Notable Rabbit Year people include; Albert Einstein, Leon Trotsky, Frank Sinatra, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, David Beckham, Tiger Woods, Whitney Houston. And from my files; Paulo C., Julie D., Bonnie S., Clancy I., Mike S., Jerri W., and others

You can read all the good stuff about Rabbits elsewhere. Artistic, sensitive, fortunate, stylish, etc. http://www.wayangtimes.com/2011-year-of-the-rabbit-chinese-zodiac-horoscope-forecast.html generally says all the things I would like to say but would not.
My main advisor Kari Sioux recently told me of this Feng Shui site that has a very good forecast for each of the Chinese animal signs. http://www.fengshuiweb.co.uk/advice/chineseanimalpredictions2011.htm
I suggest reading behind the “love, light and harmony” predictions here and re-read the many caveats for Rabbits in this year. Interesting they pulled up the same advice I got intuitively for Rabbits – get a good lawyer! KS regularly uses the cures and other things offered at the Feng Shui section of the site especially the salt water cure [KS has a Cancer Moon].

Rabbit is part of the triplicity of Goat, Pig, and Rabbit and have a generally lower vitality and health than the other signs. IMO eating properly and generally guarding their health should be the #1 objective for Rabbits this year especially as they confront the many challenges to their cheery and fortunate world view. Have a good lawyer on hand.

Compatibility legend
1 – excellent     2 – successful     3 – good     4 – fair     5 – awkward     6 – clash

We can construct a rough ‘affability quotient’ for the signs by summing the compatibilities of each of the 12 signs with each of the other. Thus,
Rat – 36
Ox – 39
Tiger – 45
Rabbit – 36
Dragon – 37
Snake – 38
Horse – 40
Goat – 40
Monkey – 35
Rooster – 43
Dog – 37
Pig - 31

So, Pigs are, by far, the most affable and Tigers, by far, the least.
