Abstract, so you don’t have to read a bunch of crap:

·       Continuing genocide, ethnocide, and mass killings: Palestine, Kurds, Iraq where it is estimated the US has caused a million civilan deaths, Yazidis, India&Kashmir (where I once spent an idyllic month with my 6’ 4” Dutch girlfriend),

·       Meh, I’ll add other predictions as I think of stuff.

If the point 22 Capricorn is prominent in your individual horoscope significant tumultuous events have and will continue to occur. I have suggested this to several whose horoscope I am familiar with (and I can talk to.)

All the following are excerpts from the book Cosmos and Psyche by Richard Tarnas and my commentary. As one reviewer said in the front piece, “It is hard to think of many books written in the past century that will still be read two hundred years from now. Cosmos and Psyche will top that short list.”

Planets Saturn and Pluto conjoin in the ‘sky’ on 12 January 2020. The 78 page section in Cosmos and Psyche dealing with Saturn-Pluto interactions is entitled “Cycles of Crisis and Contraction.” Past periods of conjunction are:

August 1913-June 1916

June 1946-September 1948

December 1980-October 1984

January 2018-December 2021

and before that, 1819, 1851, 1883.

“In the sequence of Saturn-Pluto alignments during the twentieth century, we can observe how the three successive conjunctions coincided with defining events and decisions that established an enduring historical foundation upon which causally related developments would then unfold for several decades afterward.” Pg. 214

Tarnas suggests the first conjunction of the century coincided with political upheavals which did not culminate until the end of WW2.

“In turn, the second Saturn-Pluto conjunction of the century coincided precisely with the beginning of the Cold War in 1946-1948… [culminating in] the U.S. defeat in Vietnam and the takeover by communist regimes in South Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.” Pg. 214

“This same cycle is clearly visible in and closely corelated with the series of Middle East crises and Arab-Israel wars … that began in 1946-8” pg. 215

“Remarkably, the age of modern terrorism is widely considered to have begun in 1946 with the bombing of the King David Hotel by Zionist rebels, in coincidence with the Saturn-Pluto conjunction of 1946-1948 that also coincided with the beginning of the Cold War.” Pg. 216

“Thus [sic] the first Saturn-Pluto cycle of the twentieth century correlated closely with the world wars and the second with the Cold War. The events that have [later[C1]  happened correlate] with the phenomenon of international terrorism and the ensuing war on terror.

The conjunction [third] of 1981-84 … coincided with the initial terrorist bombings of the U.S. embassy in Beirut and of the U.S. and French barracks in Lebanon… . pg. 216

(This is a must read, especially if you like b*mb!ngs, as I do. The Marine barracks truck bomb that killed 250+ Marines is described as the largest non-nuclear explosion since WW2. The bomber used a Mercedes 2½ ton truck filled with an estimated 10,000 pounds of explosive. The bombing of the U.S. embassy in Beirut ‘happened to occur’ – was synchronous with – the meeting of all 6 CIA Middle East heads PLUS the head of the CIA’s Middle East section from Washington whose hand was found floating a mile off shore identified from the attached wedding ring.)

“Whenever accurate historical records are available, I found that the simultaneous occurrence of multiple categories of diverse but archetypically connected events occurred consistently throughout history. To take one example of such a synchronic wave…” pg. 217 [Interestingly, I have (synchronously) just re-read Jung’s book Synchronicity, An Acausal Connecting Principle.

“The correlation of the Saturn-Pluto cycle with genocide, ethnocide, and mass killings is striking: In the past century these include the mass killing of the Armenians by the Ottoman Turks during the conjunction of 1914-15, the death of millions of kulaks under Stalin that began during the opposition of 1930-33, Hitler’s conceiving of the Final Solution and the mass killing of Jews that began during the square of 1939-41, the slaughter of nearly a million Indonesians by the right-wind military regime in 1965-66, the Khymer Rouge’s killing of over a million Cambodians that began during the square of 1973-75, the death squads in San Salvador and Guatemala during the conjunction of 1981-84,…Ruanda and Bosnia … 1992-94, Sudan in Darfur…conjunction of 2000-04.
         “Finally, one example among many from classical antiquity is the Saturn-Pluto conjunction that coincided with the most intense period of the barbarian invasions of the Roman Empire, those of 410-12 by the Huns, Vandals, and Visgoths. “All these periods were marked by an extraordinarily intense, violent, even cataclysmic clash of opposing forces.” Pg. 247

The Kurdish connection: “Characteristic of certain forms of the Saturn-Pluto realpolitik perspective and ethos is Kissinger’s response to Congress to criticism he received for having the CIA actively foment resistance among the Kurds against Saddam Hussein in 1975 (during another Saturn-Pluto square) and then suddenly abandoned them when his diplomatic strategy changed, which resulted in the slaughter of thousands of Kurdish people.” Pg. 244. Tarnas makes a lot about Herman Melville’s relation to Saturn-Pluto when he was born, when the whaler Essex was sunk by a 80’ sperm whale, and the publishing of Moby Dick whose first line you may recall is “Call me Ishmael.” Ishmael was the only surviving member of the crew of the Pequod and the story’s narrator.

One important item Tarnas seems to have missed is the establishment of the United Nations in 1945, coincident with the conjunctive period of 1946-48. I’ll try to think about this more BUT please read https://ballantynesinspiredmusings.blogspot.com/2016/12/my-modest-proposal-to-move-united.html .

The energy of this Saturn-Pluto would be perfect to MOVE THE U.N.! (Mary Norris suggests the exclamation should only be used three or four times in a lifetime!) I once rode my BSA motorcycle past the U.N. garage on the FDR Drive at about 119 mph.

made conscious, it happens outside, as fate. That is to say, when the

individual remains undivided and does not become conscious of his

inner contradictions, the world must perforce act out the conflict

and be torn into opposite halves.” Carl Jung

The same can be said, I assert, for ‘societies’: so long as the US remains unconscious of it’s inner contradictions its world will be torn into opposite halves. I propose that some of these unacknowledged turds in the US closet might be:

·       Large-scale genocide of up to 30 million Native Americans in the 18^th and 19^th centuries.

·       War crimes, especially from 1960 onward.

·       Bombing by the US of upwards of 40 countries in the past 50 years. In particular I prophesize this has created a “bombing karma” for the US where the US is due to be ‘bombed’ and I have further speculated this COULD occur from an astronomic event.

·        

To conclude this first draft which I guess I’ll get back to, Tarnas makes the very important point that before the Renaissance, say the time of Copernicus and an earth centered world view, humans viewed themselves as subject to and part of nature. After that this worldview changed so that humans considered themselves as pre-eminent and creative of the world around them to reflect THEIR inner view. Tarnas, will suggest, when I get around to finding it, that the movement of the planets shifts man’s ‘worldview’ and hence CREATES (is interestingly synchronous with) events.

Thus, it MUST be that we humans are right NOW in the middle of epochal change demarked by the Saturn-Pluto conjunction of 12 January 2020
